Our services

(Certified) translations

Portucale provides (certified) translations from and into Portuguese, but we also work with other European languages and undertake interpretation assignments. Our translators are recorded under the new Statute. Since 1 January 2009 there is a new Statute in force: "Act sworn interpreters and translators". The effects of swearing-in formalities in the past have been suspended until translators have been recorded in the new national Register of sworn translators and interpreters and a registration number has been allotted. Our translators complied with all formalities in this regard. Also the By-laws require a new seal of office.

Interpretation services

If at all possible our agency works with sworn interpreters, who are also member of the Netherlands Association of Interpreters and Translators (NGTV) and entered as well in the Public Register (Btv). You can request assistance of a translator to help your company effectively communicate in a growing international environment. We provide interpreters who are native-speakers and have expertise in a particular industry sector.

Legalisations

Authorities abroad often require official documents such as powers of attorney, notarial deeds and certificates to be authenticated or legalised. This implies that these documents (or their copies) be authenticated by their Consulate or Embassy in the Netherlands. Portucale is entitled to direct legalisation by the Consulates of Brasil, Portugal, Angola and Cape Verde in the Netherlands. This implies that we are often quicker and often cheaper than others, because we don´t have to obtain interim legalisations.

Portuguese courses

We offer Portuguese language courses tailored to your requirements: one-to-one basis or for groups of up to 8 people. Private courses are always arranged at a time to suit you and your work schedule.
