How much do translations cost?
The costs depend on the size and difficulty of the document you want to have translated. And, of course, if you are in a hurry or not. If you´d like to receive an offer, please send us an e-mail with the document attached or mentioning the number of words and the type of document. You can find an indication of our prices on the page Tariffs.
Who will be making the translation?
All translations are made by a native speaker, who is a qualified or sworn translator.
How can I send in a document for translation?
If you have a document for which you require a certified translation, you can send us the original document by registered mail to the P.O. Box mentioned on the contact page. If you need a regular (not certified) translation, you can just send us the source document by e-mail or fax.
How can I pay?
You will receive an invoice with your translation/course confirmation. The total amount can be transferred to ABN AMRO bank account no. 42.66.61.605 in Smilde, The Netherlands. If you should require an IBAN or SWIFT code, please send us a message.
I live in Portugal; dooes Portucale have a bank account there?
Yes, we do. We have a Portuguese bank account at Caixa Geral de Depósitos for our customers in Portugal. Please send us a message, if you´d like to know more about this option.
Can Portucale take care of legalisation of my documents?
Yes, we can. If you´d like to receive an offer for our legalisation services, please send us an e-mail. The costs for legalisations depend on the receiving country, but we are often cheaper since we are entitled to direct legalisation by several Consulates of Portuguese speaking countries in the Netherlands.
What´s Portucale´s VAT number?
Our VAT number is NL 153734255B01
Are translations by Portucale recognised by the Dutch Ministry of Justice and by Consulates of Portuguese speaking countries?
Yes, we only work with translators and interpreters who are member of the Netherlands Association of Interpreters and Translators (NGTV) and entered as well in the Public Register (Btv) of the Ministry of Justice.
What are the opening hours?
Opening hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm. Please make an appointment if you´d like to visit us.
When will I receive my translation?
That depends on the size and difficulty of the document. Small translations can be done within 2 working days. We will give you an estimate of the required time when you send us your documents.
